Nothing signals more than a new color palette. From a design perspective, everything revolves around warm, rich tones that make a space inviting, and therefore we see a shift to deep, luxurious colors, according to Denine Jackson, owner and main designer from Denine Jackson Interiors.
“This autumn plums and Burgundy tones appear – (on) wallpapers, color, fabrics – warm, intimate atmospheres that are perfect for the cozy atmosphere of autumn,” says Jackson.
And the accent color of the new season is mustard yellow and ensures an overall palette that is inspired by the autumn colors found in nature.

Kim Lapin, founder and lead designer by Kim Lapin Interiors, says that she notices an increase in hand-painted furniture and decorations after noticing withdrawn furniture designs for years.
“Cupboards and mill work are more charming with popular details through hand -painted designs,” says Lapin.
This autumn, everything is about expressing your personality through your interior design and handmade flowers, abstract patterns or even hand -painted strips, so that rooms feel individually, collected and a little magical, adds Lapin.

According to Jackson, we see a departure from minimalist patterns and expressive.
“Art Deco motifs and Victorian flowers with a large format are a combination that I just see well together,” says Jackson.
Homeowners are ready with safe neutral and are now driven by the desire to express themselves more dramatic.
With these bold patterns, homeowners can do exactly that by laying importance and personality in layers in their houses, Jackson adds.
Dramatic marble ends

Snow -white and subtle gray veiling may be the first picture that comes to mind when you think of marble living culture, but that starts with more dramatic color combinations.
“Marble becomes a luxury material of this autumn, but it is not the cold, institutional marble of the past,” says Jackson.
Rich marbles like Calacatta Viola or Green Marble with bold veins are the styles that are now the focus.
“I see beautiful applications on kitchen islands and back splashes, surrounds the fireplace that becomes the heart of living rooms and sculptural accessories,” says Jackson.
Silbry metallic accents

Golden-tinted metallics such as brass have been around for some time, and while metallics will always have a place in home culture, Lapin sees a movement towards a glossy, silver metals such as nickel and chrome.
“Polished nickel and chrome bring a crispy, modern edge that plays beautifully against richly decorated or traditional elements,” says Lapin.
This helps to give every room contrast and visual interest.

Designers agree that the only trend that is outside this autumn is the purely white look, which is often paired with white shipap and white oak accents.
This look, be it in a modern farmhouse or a modern house or even in a kitchen on the west coast, is out because people want rooms in which several elements have meaning, not only generic rooms, Jackson adds.
The neutral white space has had its moment, but feels a little flat.
“Design longs for more personality, wealth and risk,” says Lapin. “We move over the safe and more demanding and more layered designs.”
