Ben Linfoot takes into account the image of My Pension Expert Arkle Challenge Trophy after Sir Gino missed his preparation and L'Au du died the Kingmaker landed.
Here, we, an old Super Saturday day in Newbury, the Kingmaker near Warwick, are our own good race, but also some of the last big clues we get before-chew. With 31 days for the festival, final preparations are now made.
Which immediately brings us to the big name that did not go, Sir GinoOnce over fences and the hot, general 4/6, favorite for the My Pension Expert Arkle Challenge Trophy on the first day at the Cheltenham Festival.
A small wound on the inside of his nearby rear leg to prepare a preparation in front of the Arkle.
On February 22nd in Kempton 2m4f he was able to run over the Pendil in Kemton (looks unlikely) or he could go to Bangor on February 26 to pursue a new chase with two miles (also unlikely). Unless a casserole in him, he will probably go into the Arkle with a hint and an obligatory race track.
Is that a matter of concern? Let's be honest – not really. Both Well Chief and Western Warhorse won the Arkle with only one chase of her profile, and Sir Gino is one of the brightest British beginners who have been pursuing talents for many years. In fact, he recorded a higher form of time in his hunting debut as an illustrated Storyate Simonsig, Sprinter Sacre, Altior and Jonbon.
There is a fact that Sir Gino has only jumped in a race in his life.
I do not say that such an inexperience makes a mistake more likely, he looked pretty good in the jumping department, but we are talking about a good exhibition of jumping during his own on a day on which Dan Skeltons l'aau du was sud Arkle prep.
If you ever want to show what fences can do for a horse, just use the video repetition of the 2025 Grade 2 Unibet Kingmaker Novices' Chase in Warwick.
Here we have the gray South waterIn the yellow silk of the late John Hales. As a hurdle with 138 installments, he was good over the smaller obstacles, but they did not maximize his potential as a racehorse.
With 152 over fences that go into the Kingmaker, after three runs in beginners -he is clearly a much better persecution hunter than a hurdle and observed how he dealt with the five hectic fences in the Warwick Back Straight, why.
He devoured the obstacles, attacked them with relish, took the length of his only serious rival, Paul Nicholls' Rubaud.
There is no evidence of this only one length in the straight and indicates that he could have his own future in this area.
L'Eau du Sud certainly pulled a little bit, maybe the 5 pound penalty began to demand his tribute. I would say that it is probably more likely that Rubaud's two miles longer hurdle speed after Jumping.
In the future there could be a decent obstacle prize for Rubaud, considering that this weapon l'Au du du was not too critical of it because I did not hit it further, although I would probably do this in my turn.
The 1/5 chance had the race in the pocket for the third time after an exhibition of the jumping and in races, in which jumping will be a key factor – like the Arkle – it becomes a player.
He doesn't have the class of Sir Gino and the chances tell you that. Sir Gino is 4/6, l'Eau du Sud is 10/1. There is also the small matter of the Irish Arkle winner Majborough at 15/8.
But there is a little concern about Majborough's Beginners jump in Leopardstown. Sir Gino only jumped 12 fences.
Skelton says he goes into the Arkle “full of hope” for L'E Eau du Sud. You can certainly see why. His jumping gives him at least one shimmer of an opportunity and against horses like Sir Gino, sometimes that's all you can want.
