In the report, over 1,000 specialists were interviewed by over 1,000 commercial landscapes nationwide and showed that the contractors carefully expect stability despite the end of the year and in 2025. The survey also showed that many commercial landscaping professionals take technology to overcome difficulties, use growth opportunities and optimize customer experience.
“If you look at the volatility in our industry in recent years, 2025 seems to be ready for a welcome and steady view,” said Mark Tipton, co -founder and CEO of Aspire Software. “Digital transformation has priority in the industry because business owners recognize the positive results and success that technology can deliver. We expect the industry to continue to take up technology, such as artificial intelligence that drives new growth and opportunities.”
Treasurer checked in growth in 2025
While 42% of landscaping professionals fell for sales in 2024, 44% of those surveyed forecast in 2025 to increase sales increases and 32% expect increased business performance. The increasing turnover was the top goal for contractors next year (64%), followed by customer acquisition (48%), business optimization (40%) and customer loyalty (40%). In order to achieve the forecast growth, the contractors plan to increase their sales and marketing efforts (38%), to expand their teams (21%) and offices (16%) and to invest in new technologies (14%).
While 71% of the respondents do not introduce any new services in 2025, companies that focus on commercial maintenance and planning for expansion show a different trend. Approximately 51% plan to venture into the Bidbuild construction services, while a further 22% offer construction services for residential buildings. Likewise, 19% plan to offer commercial construction construction options, and an express interest in offering construction services for the construction of residential buildings.
Strategic tech investments continue to promote success in the industry
Almost three quarters (73%) of the contractors see the digital transformation as important and underline the growing interest and the excitement of the technology within the industry. Of the contractors who already use software to their advantage (93%), accounting (77%), invoicing (72%) as well as the estimates and proposals (61%) are the most common applications. While end-to-end company management solutions are the most popular (33%), a quarter (25%) of the contractors also see a significant value in the software to support CRM and lead management as well as customer and employee notifications and communication.
Other aspiring technologies that play a crucial role in the next 1 to 3 years are real estate statements (48%), autonomous mower (30%) and drones (24%). The contractors expect AI to have the most important effects in the operational areas, including field processes (39%), intelligent routing (33%) and planning (30%). While 83% of the contractors do not use artificial intelligence, 17% of companies that implement technology report positive effects on business performance.
Diversification of procurement to combat delays in the supply chain and increasing costs
Rising costs have instructed landscape design, and 57% of the contractors already feel the effects of price increase materials and 69% on equipment. In 2025, 52% of the contractors were still increased material costs as a significant risk of achieving their business goals.
Almost a third (32%) of the contractors recorded a material lead time of one week or more and 36% similar equipment delays. In order to mitigate delays, the contractors claim a diversified approach for the procurement of supplies. Most contractors stated that most of their materials were obtained directly from supply houses (53%) and kindergartens (50%).
Bridging of the qualification gap – increase wages and rise talents
Local shortage continues to cause concern, and 51% of those surveyed named the staff as a significant risk of achieving their annual goals. In order to attract and keep talents, 55% of landscape designers increase the wages of employees by 2-9%. In addition, a fifth (20%) of the business owners recognized the importance of employee training, especially for caretaker and cleaning services, and planned, investing in the development of employees and new software.
Customer loyalty was of crucial importance for the industry in 2024. Treasurer stated that a repeated business was 35% of the turnover, and 26% resulted from word of word of worded by satisfied customers.
