The recent storms that hit the UK have left many garden fences in ruins. But there is a remedy with a simple and inexpensive way to repair the damage.
Amazon offers the “easiest DIY repair for broken, crooked wooden fence posts” with Post Buddy, which promises to fix fences without the hassle of digging or damaging nearby plants. Two robust steel posts are driven into the ground and then attached to the post above ground with screws so that the post is upright and stable again. The manufacturers claim it can be used to repair posts of “any size and shape,” even in “hard-to-reach places,” says the Daily Record.
And you can save: normally priced at £24.95, the Post Buddy is now available for £21.95 and many shoppers are hailing it as a “day saving” as it saves the cost of completely replacing fence posts. An Amazon Choice product, it has a 4.5-star rating from over 1,300 reviews, with more than 600 purchases made in the last month alone.

Customers seemed to agree, with one happy shopper saying: “Post Buddy has saved me a lot of work. I used this Post Buddy x2 to repair the wooden post that had rotted underground. I didn't want to incur the cost or time of replacing the entire post and digging up the concrete, etc.
They added: “It was a simple matter of pounding it into the ground to the correct height with a hammer and then screwing it onto the post. The work is done. It is now very stable and secure and I can replace the post at a later date.” Good, solid product that I would recommend in the summer of next year.
Another said: “Sturdy and effective fence repair – saved me having to replace a post! Works incredibly well! Our fence was crooked due to a rotted post and I thought I would have to spend money on a new post or fence.”
“Luckily this brace saved the day – it’s now sturdier than ever. PLEASE NOTE: Don't even bother trying with a hammer – you'll need a hammer to get the torque needed to drive it through the concrete. It’s worth it!”
“This just works!” said a third. “I was skeptical and afraid of buying new fence posts. These are brilliant, do the job and are so easy to install. My rotten posts are stronger than when they were installed. Thank you.”
Another happy user wrote: “I had a very wobbly goal post and this product did wonders for stabilizing and strengthening it.”
“Very easy to install with clear instructions and could easily be done with just one person. I think this represents excellent value for money and will add strength and stability to the fence for years to come.”
However, not everyone was so thrilled, with one reviewer summing up the sentiment: “Disappointed with the thickness and stiffness of the bar.”
