A village pub that Russell Brand bought in 2021 is abandoned and overgrown because the locals complain that the historical building has become a “eyesore”.

The Crown Inn in class II in Pishill, Oxfordshire has come into a state of decay after he is exposed to the comedian who became the conspiracy theorist who is currently exposed to rape and sexual assault.

The straw roof and the historical features have recently turned into a wedding reception location, but since Brand bought the property in December 2021, it has not opened its doors.

New images show the poor condition of the building, with the tape holding some of the windows together and weeds take the paths.

The protocol fires no longer burn, while a wooden shed apparently seems to be listed on one side and some of his boards are missing.

The crown was once the hottest nightclub in Oxfordshire and was the first venue in the county with drinks after the night and the music license. Celebrities and fans flocked to watch like Beatles Stars Ringo Starr and George Harrison and Dusty Springfield.

But now there are silence and decay instead of loud night owls, with crumbling masonry and rusted iron railings that color the color orange.

The 49 -year -old brand and his wife Laura Gallacher – the younger sister of the TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher – once intended to transform the company into a vegan restaurant after not doing meat and dairy products since 2019.

But the locals reacted with outrage, with one said: “We have heard that he planned to transform the pub into a vegan restaurant. Why should someone want that? He clearly never had the intention to use the pub as a pub. He doesn't even drink alcohol. Why do you don't like a pub if you don't like a drink?”

Fire also set the building permit to convert the pub into a recording studio and a common area in which he could meet his podcast Rumble and other old rights commentators.

The district council of South Oxfordshire, however, rejected the application according to a number of objections, including 53 from neighbors.

David Cooper, Pub Preservation Officer in the branch in South Oxfordshire of the Campaign for Real Ale, said that the brand's suggestions were “poorly defined” and would “in no way” compensate for the loss of a pub – the last remaining in the village.

Jeremy Tweddle, who lives in the nearby village of Berrick Salome, added that he “enjoyed many visits to the crown”.

“In my opinion, the current owners bought a public house, did not make any efforts to do it as such and not to explain it now,” he said.

Now some neighbors could fear that brands – currently lived in Florida, where he has set up an old right -wing media center in Miami – rotten the pub for years.

Since it is listed in class II, all changes to the property would have to be carefully managed, while changing the use could be difficult.

Caroline Dempsey, who lives next to the crown, told the sun that the brand could wait until the pub is a complete wreck before selling to developers in the country and doubling his profit.

“This can take years, while in the meantime everything becomes a sad, neglected, overgrown thorn in the side,” she said.

In the meantime, Brand will fly back to Great Britain before his first hearing on Friday, May 2.

The CPS accused him of two cases of rapes, indecent attacks and two charges for sexual assault in relation to four women who claim that the incidents had taken place between 1999 and 2005 – as a fire at the height of his fame.

He will appear at the Westminster Magistrates' Court for the first hearing.

The Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy from the Metropolitan Police said: “The women who have created reports continue to receive support from specially trained officials.

“The examination of the meter remains open and detective requests everyone who is affected by this case, or anyone who has information to report and speak to the police.”

Brand denied all allegations in a video published on X. “I always told you when I was young and single before I had my wife and family, I was a fool,” he said.

“I was addicted to drugs, sex -dependent and a nonsense. But I was never a rapist. I never dealt with non -matters – I pray that you can see this by looking into my eyes.”

The mirror has turned to a comment for Russell Brand.
