Two seniors have lunch together in the last weeks of the school year. They talk when the lunch break comes to an end.
When the conclusion approaches, seniors of the Carlmont High School enjoy the last moments, deepen friendships and absorb the importance of their high school trip before entering their next chapter in life.
In the past four years, Carlmont's senior class has faced academic challenges, social changes and the printing of the approvals of the university. With the end in sight, many students reflect on how these experiences have shaped who they have become.
“Based on my own experience, the smaller groups of friends got bigger because the boundaries between different groups mix,” said Rostislav Bautin, senior in Carlmont.
Bautin who is on the way to the way College of San Mateo to study Chemistryenjoyed his year of the year and tried to count at any moment. While he's been in Carlmont for almost four years, he is sad that his last weeks have passed. Bautin can immediately remember memories of every year when he was asked to think about some of his most memorable times in the high school.
Bauin also liked to go to school and did very few regret, except that he should have attended more social school events, especially the dances.
“I noticed that seniors came closer together. Personally, this is because the end of the high school is much more tangible and I want to have the best experience while I can still,” said Sean Conley, senior at Carlmont.
After Conley had been accepted into college, he noticed less stress to take the grades, which made it possible for many students to be more social. While that was positive, Conley found that shortly before the end of the high school was bitter. While the four years in Carlmont were pleasant, Conley came to an end and went intimidating himself.
Ian Wong, a senior in Carlmont, who is forced and plans for the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. In the landscape architecture, he found the beginning of the final year due to applications in the university application very stressful. However, he noticed that at the end of the year he began to lose interest in school.
“In the last quarter I just started losing all motivation for school work,” said Wong.
In the course of the school year in the past few weeks, many seniors have thought about their last years of high school and at the same time the challenge of being more independent than in the past.
“I love everything last year. I have great teachers, my classes are fun and many exclusive senior events give all seniors the opportunity to connect one last time,” said Bautin.
