Here is a summary of the city Greenville's Design Review Board Meeting on December 19th.
Shelved: Designs by Bailey Estates
Design plans for Bailey Estates, a 76-unit apartment building on Pendleton Street, has been postponed until the February 2025 Design Review Board meeting. The board agreed that there were too many unanswered questions about the project's exterior designs and massing that needed to be addressed.
The residential project will be built on a 3.3-acre site at 1146 Pendleton St. The United House of Prayer for All owns the property and is the developer of the project. The former Kash and Karry shopping center that previously occupied the property was demolished earlier this year.
Proposed plans for the project call for a two-story, U-shaped building to be constructed on the site. The building will be located on both Pendleton Street and Perry Avenue. The site will also include a central outdoor courtyard and 81 surface parking spaces for residents.
Approved with conditions: Two residential building designs for “Mosaic”.
The Design Review Board approved two applications for the second phase of the Mosaic Development by Saint Capital LLC. Phase two, known as mosaic cities, consists of 22 buildings on 6.86 acres on Academy Street.
The board approved designs for a 19,170-square-foot condominium called Building 4. The three-story apartment building will be located at the corner of Mosaic Drive and Motley Way.
Two residential buildings known as “Building 7” were also approved by the board. Richard Jackson, partner at Saint Capital LLC, said each 6,030-square-foot building will have two two-story townhouses and two third-floor apartments.
Approved with conditions: lighting and landscaping for the 250 N. Church Street project
Final approval was granted by the Design Review Board Outdoor lighting and landscapings for the mixed-use project at 250 N. Church St., commonly known as Greenville Gateway. The board reviewed the project's architectural details and materials back in September and the site plan in May.
Daniel Suarez de Puga of NR Investments – the developer of the project – said they will begin the approval process for the project in January 2025.
