UC Merced police officers save 2 kayakers from the Yosemite Lake

A kayak driver is safe this morning after being saved by two officers from the Merced Police Department of the Merced Police Department.

Merced, California (KFSN) – A kayak driver is safe after saving two officers from the University of the University of California, Merced Police Department.

Shortly after Monday 11 a.m., the department received a 911 call that hung up without an answer.

The call was returned to the Lake Yosemite area, so two officials answered that nobody needed help.

Once on site, they found a kayak with an older person and the other in the Grand Canal south of Lake Road.

The kayakian told them that his older sister had fallen into the water, and the officials discovered their fight next to the steep dam of the canal.

They quickly went to work and cut through two rings of barbed wire fences to get the embankment down and pull them to safety.
