In the Texas hills with a view of the city center of Austin, modern accommodation sits, which is inspired by its natural environment, but only very little of the southern size that many houses in the Lone Star State decorate.
The new build from the Alterstudio Architecture company was designed for a retired couple, whereby the goal was that it could be passed on by her family. Because the couple is older, all primary living rooms sit on the main level so that they can age on the spot. The current offices can also serve as a bedroom, and access to the bathroom can be reconsidered for children and grandchildren as required. The residence has a total of four bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms.

To reach the property, approach a bridge that is framed by tire oaks. The residence cuts a striking figure with wood and local stone that packs the U-shaped outer outer. This has broken up by Mahogany window walls that look in the distance on Austin's Skyline and the Pennybacker Bridge. Some of the same materials are used inside, with a large stone fireplace anchored the main room and a bar behind moving wooden doors are hidden, which imitate the outside pattern.
A balcony around the upper plain wraps beyond the doors. In the following there is a covered terrace for eating outdoors, a pool and a spa as well as a spacious lawn and landscape design with the kind permission of stools. The 7,600 square meter residence is also climate -conscious and has taken up design strategies that are supposed to make the house more sustainable. As such, a breeze on the lower level helps to cool the shepherd winds, as well as roof openings on the upper balconies. In the case of weather cases, there is a safe space inside.

Alterstudio is known for its award-winning houses in Austin-in the crime, this place of residence was awarded the design Award of Excellence at the AIA Austin Design Awards 2024. In the past few years, some of the other praised projects of the company have also come onto the market: a property of $ 11.8 million with a striking pool that was listed last year after winning an architecture championship in 2018. In 2023, a modernist with five bedrooms with a Bocce court appeared with a price of $ 12.5 million.
