When the days grow shorter

Chestermere, Alta. – When the autumn arrives, the daylight lessons decrease, and the RCMP from Chestermere reminds the homeowners that criminals often use the longer hours of darkness. A few simple steps Now can help reduce the risk of becoming a victim of property crime.

The RCMP of Chestermere encourages residents to take into account crime prevention by environmental design (Cpted) principles when evaluating their houses and properties:

  • Avoid leaving expensive objects from the street.
  • Use high -quality padlocks and sacks on external structures.
  • Use fences and natural barriers (such as thorny plants) to define property limits.
