Enjoy the benefits of hot and cold when you take the PLUNJ at this Salt Lake City bathhouse

SALT LAKE CITY – If you've ever wanted to unwind, unwind and reboot, PLUNJ Salt Lake is here to help.

Icy water may seem like the last place you want to spend your free time, but across Utah, more and more people are taking advantage of the trend. Studios like PLUNJ are driving one of the state's fastest-growing wellness trends, centered around a centuries-old ritual of heat, cold and calm called contrast therapy. According to the National Institutes of Health, alternating between hot and cold temperatures can increase tissue oxygenation, reduce inflammation and help the body recover faster.

Inspired by the original PLUNJ Provo, the Salt Lake team wanted to create something that goes beyond a spa: a space that combines wellness, community and design. There, well-being is measured not in steps or calories, but in silence, breath and human connection.

The owners of PLUNJ wanted to create a so-called “third place,” a space outside of home and work where people can come together, rest and be present.

Whether you're looking for peace, clarity or just a little courage, you might find it at PLUNJ Salt Lake.

PLUNJ Salt Lake is hosting a pop-up on October 11th from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m
