Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Saturday directed officials to take up work with vibrant and unique designs for the proposed 'T Square' in Raidurg and make it an iconic structure and venue in Hyderabad. He directed them to ensure that construction of the facility begins by the end of November.At a review meeting with IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu and officials of the Integrated Command Control Centre, the CM also discussed plans to set up an AI innovation center in the city. The proposed hub aims to integrate all existing AI initiatives, startups and Centers of Excellence (CoE) under a single platform while promoting collaboration with global companies, research institutes and international AI hubs.“The T-Square should be designed as a hub for entertainment, tourism, dining and business, attracting visitors around the clock. The plan should also include the development of a world-class digital display façade by illuminating the area with large electronic displays and vibrant digital advertising to create a vibrant experience for visitors. Provision should be made to accommodate major global players like Apple within the T-Square. The designs must also take into account parking needs to ensure smooth vehicular movement in the T-Square area,” he told officials.While the new public arena is planned as a space for entertainment, cultural events and commercial activities, the CM recommended that it should also be suitable for businesses. He also discussed plans to set up an AI innovation center in the city. “The AI Hub should have a board comprising world-renowned business personalities and a corpus fund,” he said.Meanwhile, Minister Sridhar Babu highlighted the government's adoption of an innovation-driven strategy to drive growth in the AI era.“Since 2024, the government has launched several AI initiatives as part of its larger vision of positioning Telangana as a world-leading destination for AI. The Global AI Summit was held in September 2024, the AI City project plan was unveiled, the Telangana AI Rising Grand Challenge was held and an AI catalyst program was organized for the state government officials.
