ECAC announces the drivers of the week ending November 9th
DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced the Riders of the Week for the week ending November 9th.
Double discipline
Fences: Chloe Fares – UC Davis
Sophomore Chloe Fares was a consistent force across hurdles, delivering high-scoring and point-winning drives in both meets. She opened the weekend with an 82 aboard Cici to secure a key point against Delaware State, then delivered the highest score of the meet against UT Martin – an MOP-winning 86 aboard Salty, outscoring her opponent by 20 points and helping the Aggies win both events.
Residence: Cavan Smith – UC Davis
Newcomer Cavan Smith delivered outstanding flat performances in both matches. Against Delaware State, she scored a commanding 84 aboard Kevin, defeating her opponent by 21 points and securing the fourth and final point of the event for UC Davis. She carried that momentum into the UT Martin meet, scoring an 86 aboard Cooper and winning by 18 points, helping the Aggies win the event 3-1 and earning MOP honors for her ride.
Horsemanship: Eliza Plum – UC Davis
Sophomore Eliza Plum delivered point-winning horsemanship rides in both meets. She defeated her opponent from Delaware State with a 66.5 aboard Cinch and then delivered an outstanding 75 against UT Martin aboard Brady to secure MOP honors and help UC Davis win the event 3-0.
Reining:
Senior Mya Clader continued her strong season with back-to-back winning drives. She earned the only reining point for UC Davis against Delaware State with a 65 aboard Aspen, followed by a 70.5 at Delta against UT Martin – the highest score of the event – to secure MOP honors. Clader has now secured six winning rides this season, underpinning the consistency of the Aggie Western team.
Individual discipline
Fences: Cassidy Exner – Dartmouth
Cassidy Exner earned the highest fence score of the day with an 85 and received the MOP for fences for her ride.
Apartment: Camilla Jerng – Dartmouth
Like her teammate Cassidy, Camilla Jerng achieved the highest flat score of the day with 83 and secured the flat MOP.
