The Garden Club of Newtown's January 28 meeting will be held in the Community Room of the CH Booth Library, 25 Main Street in Newtown.

The keynote speaker is Brid Craddock, senior landscape architect for Growing Solutions in Ridgefield.

Craddock cares for hundreds of landscapes and gardens here in deer country and provides advice on plant selection for deer. The former Newtown resident is actively involved in sustainable landscaping, planting, fencing and masonry construction in Fairfield County.

Craddock began her design career with a degree in interior design and followed her love of nature into landscape design. She holds two-year certificates in Horticulture/Greenhouse Management and Landscape Design.

The program begins at 1 p.m. and the public is warmly invited. There is no snow date and no fee is charged.

Landscape architect Brid Craddock will be a guest speaker at the Garden Club of Newtown this month.
