HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A north Houston man was one of the few hit by stray bullets during the New Year's holiday.
Noe Sanchez said he was standing in his front yard on Firnat Street around 10 p.m. Tuesday when a bullet flew through his fence and hit his head.
“When I touch my head and see the blood, I'm like, 'Woah, oh my God,'” Sanchez said.
Miraculously, the bullet only grazed his scalp and didn't penetrate any further.
With blood running down his face, Sanchez said the shots continued to be heard as he called 911.
A total of four people, including a 7-year-old boy, were injured in suspected celebratory shootings on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, according to Houston police.

Police have arrested nine people who now face up to a year in prison.
Sanchez said he managed to trace the path of the bullet that hit him.
It left holes in the fences up and down his street, and the damage can be seen from three houses away.
“People don’t think about the neighbor, don’t think about nobody,” he said.
