Designs for the entrance are created if the city councils agree to grant £ 120,000 for the network rail next week.
At first there was hope for a complete revision of the station and the connections to the east end of the city improved, but it became known last year that the system was “no longer viable”.
In a report by the Council official, it says: “Early tasks to carry out a complete renovation of the station can no longer be available due to the financing of transport scotland.
“A new scope of work, including only the entrance and the facade, is now being taken forward.”
The money to cover the design costs of Network Rail would be from the City City City deal in Glasgow City, an infrastructure program financed by Great Britain and Scottish governments of more than 1 billion GBP.
In October last year, an update to City Deal projects showed that the High Street program was not proposed as originally proposed. At that time, a spokeswoman for the council said that the available financing of the city contract could not cover the costs of the project alone.
Transport Scotland announced that it had made £ 700,000 available for the development of the system and suggested that the council could change the scope in order to make it more affordable.

The update to the council members had stated that many financing bodies “have to deal with the household and the pressure of inflation” and have checked the available funds.
Since then, the council officials and the network rail have had discussions about “a number of improvements” to the train station.
In a broader project for the city contract, public empires and active travel improvements in the High Street are carried out as part of the city's Avenue program. These are currently being designed.
It is to be hoped that the station entrance and the facade -Revamp can be completed before work.
The report adds that the facade project will “try to significantly improve the appearance of the station and to respect the high -quality surrounding architecture”.
The aim is to “improve the presence in High Street in High Street to supplement the existing development and to promote future investments and development of the area”.
Officials state that the train station is owned by Network Rail. It is appropriate to monitor the development “in connection with the council officials”.
In the future, another subsidy for construction work will be expected.
