The Yod Group completes dining areas on the subject of mushroom motif
Yod group Completes the newly opened dining room for Grybova Hata (mushroom house), a friend restaurant is in the Ukrainian Carpathians. As the name of the restaurant already says, fungi serve as a culinary focus and as a conceptual design topic for the interior.
The design interprets elements of traditional Ukrainian hospitality through a minimalist spatial language. Organic curves, a natural color palette and the use of raw, environmentally conscious materials define the aesthetic approach. The Inner is based on only two main materials: structured plaster and travertine from the region, dismantled near Ternopil. These material decisions determine both visual simplicity and context -related relevance.

Recycled and biological material form form Grybova Hatas interior
Mushrooms not only influenced the visual story, but also the material palette. A large part of the furniture was produced in Ukraine and supported local craftsmanship. The design process from Yod Group Architectural practice Prioritized sustainability with several custom elements from recycled and biological materials. Lighting bodies were created by designer Valerii Kuznetsov using recycled plastic and integrated integrated hand washing stations. The Hostess stand offers natural chaga mushrooms and refers to the tendency of the species to grow on tree trunks in the region.
A remarkable feature in the room is a number of custom -made curtains that are made from the mushroom -based biotextil. The installation designed by Dasha Tsapenko contains six sculptural curtain parts, which are shaped like outer clothing and sheepskin coat, as well as a rectangular plate. These pieces were woven from coconut and hemp fibers, then vaccinated with polypor mushroom spores and cultivated for three weeks under controlled conditions. The resulting myzel formed an uneven organic surface structure. Due to the biological growth process, every curtain remains unique, with different dense and visible sections of the original network.
Grybova Hatas Essentorung is based in regional eating culture
The dining room organizes around three thematic islands, each with a different aspect of the local culinary tradition. This includes an area that focuses on cheese and contains the characteristic cheese horses in the region. A section dedicated to meat and shows traditional Shovdary (smoked pork legs); And a zone oriented by spirits that emphasizes herbal distillates that are made from regional botanical.
'This architecture grew organically in the existing restaurant area, just like a mushroom grows out of its myzel. It embodies the ideas of place and organic development, rethink traditional materials and celebrates the culinary legacy of the region. ' According to Volodymyr Nepyyvoda, Managing Partner at Yod Group.
