Raessburg, va. – The Equestrian team from Washington and Lee delivered 2 championships at the IHSA Region on Saturday, which were organized by the University of Lynchburg. Two generals have earned qualifications for the IHSA Zone 4 championships during the senior Allison Hines was recognized by the coaches as the most outstanding senior in the region.
Elisabeth Marek Secured a runner -up in open fences, earned a place in zones and took third place in the open apartment. Jade Condrell Furnished event champion in Limit Fance and hit the zone 4 championship with a ride on the Zone 4 championship.
Hines took sixth place in Open Flat and Fifth in Open fences and ended their regional performance with the most prestigious senior award. She Pope placed fourth in medium apartment, while Lydia BowerSox took fifth in Limit Flat. Elizabeth Marshall was third in beginners, and Tytus Boston Rounded off the W&L results with a ride at the fourth place in the introductory business.
The generals are now turning the ODAC championships on Wednesday, March 19, which were organized by Bridgewater College in the Virginia Horse Center in the Waldron Arena in Anderson Coliseum. The competition starts at 10 a.m.
Marek and Condell will be represented on Saturday, April 5th, at the Championships of IHSA Zone 4, those of Virginia Tech in Smithfield Horse Center in Blacksburg, Virginia
