The second stage of the decorative lighting project in Macrossan Street begins on Monday, April 7th.
Up to 16 trees are decorated throughout the week, whereby the work is expected to be completed the following week at the beginning of the following week. This installation takes place at the eastern end of the Macrossan Street and will extend the decorative lighting to more retailers and improve the night management.
The FNQ traffic control manages the pedestrian and traffic flow during this period.
Local contractors will complete the electrical connections to Ergon Energy's infrastructure after they were installed on the base of each tree at the beginning of this year.
