Draymond Green criticized the teammates of Golden State Warriors after impressive performance against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers came for the last time in the 2024-25 NBA season and as expected it was an exciting game.

Since both sides now have new stars in Jimmy Butler and Luka Doncic, the anticipation for the game was through the roof.

Although the La Lakers were the higher seeds, the warriors went away with an impressive win of 123-116. The experienced striker Draymond Green praised Jonathan Kuminga for his role in victory after the game.

Draymond Green on Jonathan Kuminga: “He was so patient.”

The last few weeks have not been nice for the 22-year-old Kuminga. Since Butler's addition to the squad, Kuminga has had difficulty impressing fans.

So much that head coach Steve Kerr admitted that Kuminga didn't fit into the team. Instead of making a public scene about the criticism, Kuminga decided to wrongly prove his critics after a solid performance towards the Lakers.

Green took it up and said: “Bring this team to another level. He was so patient that he was going a little downhill when he started there, but I thought the greatest game he made was when he got in the middle of the color and brought it to Moses.”

If you consider that Kuminga is still young, he has a lot of space for improvements. But only the question is, what is its true potential?

Green on Kuminga's growth

There is still a debate when the Warriors have made a mistake by acting Andrew Wiggins to the Miami heat instead of Kuminga.

Despite the outer noise, Green focused on the growth of his team -mate and how he emphasized it against the Lakers.

“This only shows growth. He can make this shot, he can make this shot, and he often does it, but so that he is not doing this shot, not having the shot and getting it to someone and getting someone going, that's what stars do.

“It is easy to see how he shows this growth level, and we need it to keep playing how he played tonight.”

The Warriors have now improved to a 45-31 record, since they are now only one game behind the purple and gold in the Western Conference rating.
