Hello everyone, it is an honor for me to stand in front of them today and to reveal the legacy that we all left behind in this school.
I always thought that it was a bit strange, as the “class gift” is called, if we are honest, most of the class never sees the results. This year the student government wanted to change that. We wanted to leave something big – something you could see and that you could be proud of. So big, in fact that the astronauts on the international space station could even see a look … if they zoom in a little.
Let's be real-we all know that the inner courtyard on the third floor has been a eyesore in years. That is why we decided to use all of our class winnings to transform it into something beautiful: a brand new green roof. The students will now not only have a better view of the corridors from the corridors, but can actually go out of it – from an entrance to the teacher lounge (sorry, humanities scholar). A room will relax, take fresh air and just breathe.
And yes – for those who are surprised – we properly financed it. No tax money was damaged in the production of this gift. However, we have lost a small part of our class money to pay our amazing custodial crew, which had to remove a certain Dodge Dakota from 2004 from the front entrance. It's worth it.
Apart from jokes, this garden is also practical – it will help relieve over 87,000 gallons from the roof every year and to improve the building itself.
In a few years I want you to open Google Maps, enlarge this new green patch and know that you have contributed to achieving this.
