In the Hamptons World of McMansions, a former bungalow of the fisherman from the 1940s, which is now a stylish Bohemian retreat.
In Springs there is one of these cottages, a short walk from Maidstone Beach, now on the market for 1.695 million US dollars. Jeanne Hutson from Brown Harris Stevens represents the owner, who has called him home for 12 years, and updates him and keeps the feeling of keeping what the Hamptons used to be.
“In the 1940s, 46 Flaggy Hole Road was built, in which many small seasonal cottages and fishing bungalows, such as this, were often distributed along three miles port and used by local families (and others) as seasonal retreats,” says Hutson. “Her character was deliberately rustic and informal – which many of the indigenous historically rather described as” camps “than a full wintry house.”

Hutson explains that “these properties are a simple, communal water-oriented summer life on messenger boats, brackets, reserved socience-without the costs or formality of the large country houses. Many of the three-mile hollow ramps were later renovated, expanded or replaced as haffons that were with the fish heap with the fish history.”
The 1,400 square meter house offers two bedrooms and a bathroom. The latest wing of the house will be expanded in the 1970s and carefully renovated in recent years. It offers a spacious great room with a wooden fireplace, exposed bars and built -in bookshelves. There is an adjacent dining area with sliding doors that lead to the deck, perfect for maintaining and eating outdoors.

The original part of the house offers a second living room with another fireplace, an open kitchen and a breakfast corner as well as the two bedrooms and a bathroom.
Senior lights and large windows over the entire company enable a lot of natural light into the living rooms.
The wraparound deck connects the landscape gardens, a brick terrace and a fireplace according to the description of the list.
There is also a separate studio and a shower outdoors.
The property offers two gated inputs, including one that is designed for storage and charging boat boats.
