Louisville – GE appliances will invest 490 million US dollars in the Louisville Global Headquarters and Manufacturing Site to create its most advanced factory for the production of laundry, the company said.
According to the Haier Group Corp.'s subsidiary, the investment positions devices to become the largest manufacturer of American washing machines, and builds up $ 3.5 billion in the US dollar in the 10-year investment. The new production lines will be opened in 2027, the company said.
“We bring the production of laundry to our global headquarters in Louisville, since the production in the USA is of fundamental importance for our” Zero-Distance “business strategy to make our customers and consumers as close as possible,” said Kevin Nolan, President and CEO of GE Appliances. “This decision is our latest product formation and agrees with the current economic and political environment.”
