Myrtle Beach – Part of this year's interior design trends for the Grand Strand Center in terms of colors, cosiness and nature, according to regional design experts.
“The minimalist movement is over,” said Stacey Lyon by Beach Nest Interiors and Design, who has been working in interior design for 30 years.
According to Lyon, people change from the minimalist modern trend of white, bare cupboards and shelves for a more cozy look. With this cozy look, people add more of their personality, she said.
Grandma-Chic Tchotchkes & Pops of Color
“Now is time when you love things – you love your accessories, your Tchotchkes – bring them out or go shopping,” said Lyon. “Laying this back into your home and really using storytelling in your room is back.”
In order to create this cozy atmosphere, Lyon expects a trend of warmer neutral colors with pops from jewel -colored colors and chunky textures, patterns and fabrics, which Lyon lovingly described Lyon as “Granny Chic”. The fabrics can include paisleys, flowers and ticking stripes.
“I love to use it, structured neutral as a strong basis for the design, and then they used colors … to really bring their personality to life,” said Lyon.
Although it is expected that jewelry colors will celebrate a revival this year, more traditional beach colors such as blues and green and bright colors will also remain popular on the beach, said Laurie Dragunoff of decorative interiors.
Patterned wallpapers and open floor plans
Dragunoff, which has been decorated for 30 years, mentioned that background pictures return in smaller rooms, such as an accent wall or a feature wall behind a bed. In addition, the concepts outdoors are still popular and not floor plans in which each room is closed by a wall.
For this reason, Dragunoff emphasized how the design should be more contiguous in the entire room, and it recommends that it to coordinate the pieces of furniture, but not necessarily fit with them.
