A TikKer is on the mission to have a vegetable garden without spending money for it, and you want to show everyone else that it can be done.
The ball
Sierra (@sierrathreenwitch) posted a video that shows her planting tomatoes in your garden.
Sierra said: “I am inspired not to spend a cent and show them that it is possible to have a garden with just a little piece of dirt and some creativity.”
It mostly uses food waste and excerpts. And all that it needs is a bit of multitasking. In the case of the tomatoes, she said that she pushed out the seeds before cut it for Tacos.
First the seeds go into a pot, and when they sprout, they transfer them to their garden.
So far, Sierra has strawberries, garlic, onions and tomatoes, all of which are grown from scraps of food. She believes that gardening should be accessible to everyone, but many people spend so much money on their gardens that it is difficult for others to maintain them.
How it helps
If you grow your own meal, you can also save money when purchasing food. For example, an investment of $ 70 a year can save 600 US dollars. Although this garden gives this tIKKER a little slower because you do not invest money, you can still benefit from the savings when your garden grows.
If you are not quite ready to make your own garden, gardening in the community also has many advantages, including improving your mental health. Sierra mentioned that gardening takes peace and they can also find their peace.
According to a community garden study in Singapore, people reported that participated, a better stress level, well -being, optimism, openness and self -esteem.
Another study by the University of Colorado showed that people who have gardeners consumed about 1.4 more grams a day. Therefore, it is good for your mental and physical health.
What everyone says
Sierra hoped to inspire others. From the comments it looks like she had done it.
A user said, “I love that.”
Another commented: “I am happy to see the progress !!”
And a tikkeer noticed: “I also learn a green thumb.”
