A homeowner was made with a strict warning from the R/Landscape design Subreddit after asked about the installation of landscape building materials and gravel.
They put the stage by unveiling that their farm had about 10 feet of barren dirt without grass. Nothing had grown in the two months since they were there or before. They wanted to use a gravel section and wanted to know whether landscape design was a must.

Despite the promise of its manufacturers, they pointed out that “it still collects dirt and create an environment for weeds”, even with gravel.
They were also not sold for the lawn of the operation on gravel. The Redditor said that it would “create a rather inhospitable environment for other plants, to be ineffective in combating weeds and do bad work to keep moisture.
“I would spend the money that contains the soil after a soil test has been completed to enable the best environment for your home landscape,” they recommended.
