Last summer I got engaged on a camping trip and since then we have decided to make an annual ritual to get out of the city and go to the coast with our tent. But if I'm honest, I'm more of a glamorier than a purist. I like to be cozy, my coffee flowed in Stanley cups and the breakfast was warm from a real pan. For this reason, I had to try when I saw the Alpine collection of Le Creuset Alpine Outdoor (a premiere for the luxury brand).
The Alpine Outdoor collection is an expansion of the best cast iron cookware with a robust turn -ideal for everyone who cooks their campfire or limits with one side of the calm luxury. I tested the rectangular back blank of the Alps outdoors, a smooth plate made of enamelled cast iron that promises to serve perfect smash burger, grilled vegetables and pancakes to feed a lot.
But the collection itself goes far beyond the frying pan. There is a pizza pan, a shiny stainless steel grill tool and even a Dutch oven that was created especially for the best grills. For everyone who likes to cook – and loves the beautiful cookware – it is difficult not to be seduced by the Le Creuset Alpine Outdoor collection. But of course it is not the most affordable grill equipment on the market, which raises the ancient question: is Le Creuset really worth it? I discovered the following from my experience.
design

The Le Creuset Alpine Outdoor collection is really beautiful. Smooth textures, light constructions and a thoughtful, engraved illustration of an alpine scene on the back of each piece. These are the details and the type of craftsmanship that you expect from Le Creuset – right now for nature.
I would have loved trying the entire collection, but I chose the rectangular outdoor knight outdoors because I thought it would include all my needs. The handles are wide and spacious, so that you can actually grab them when wearing oven gloves – which sounds simple but is so important.

I recognized the matt black enamel interior from my non-toxic pan. It opposes blunt, coloring and rusting, and over time it develops a natural patina that only improves the cooking performance. Better still, it does not require a spice, so I could have it cooked immediately.

I also tested the Le Creuset grill tools that were extremely beautiful again. They arrived in a cream -colored canvas bag, which is probably the chicest cookware housing I've ever seen. Inside there are stainless steel grill tools with their own designated pocket protection, so that they are not folded or scratched and remain in good condition over time. I am convinced that the LE Creuset Alpine Outdoor collection set will take a life for a lifetime.

As part of the set, you will receive an outdoor slotted gymnast, Sturdy Tongs, a two -track fork and a BASITER brush. Every tool was huge, but comfortable (even with my little hands) and long enough to turn and cook from a safe distance. They are made of professional stainless steel with a brushed handle and they each have a slippery handle to stick to your workstation, which is practical.

Full disclosure: I currently don't have a large outdoor grill (city life), so I tested the frying pan on my gas stove. It still worked beautifully. Each pan in the Alpine Alpine collection in Le Creuset is designed in such a way that it withstands intensive heat – be it from an open flame or the controlled burners of a gas grill. I decided to produce burger with caramelized onions and roasted Brioche rolls -a summer grille menu classic -for my tests.

When I put my pan on the stove (after a short rinsing in the sink if there were cardboard fragments from the box), it was polished, robust and balanced. It heated up very quickly and there was plenty of space for my food.
First, onions. They grouped evenly, did not stood and gave off the slightly smoky, caramelized fragrance, which smelled my entire kitchen after a nostalgic summer family meeting. Then I threw a few burgers and they came out juicy with a golden brown texture. The heat storage was impressive – cast iron always delivers, but this is the best of the best.

Lovers of American cheese, look away. I don't like processed food, so I chose grated hunger from Cheddar, but I know that it is not traditional. In any case, it quickly melted over the golden burgers, and I had space to roast the Brioche buried roll in the burger fat. All in all, the food was absolutely delicious; The best burgers I've had for ages (and that says something like I was a lot From Cookouts this summer).
Cleaning and maintenance

At least in my experience, this part was less perfect. The frying pan cleaned slightly with hot water and a soap peeling, but there were no instructions. No care card or cleaning manual. On the brand website it says that the Le Creuset Alpine Outdoor collection can be used safely with metal utensils, but I wanted to use my Weel chain scrubber to remove some caramlaged burger bits, and I was not sure whether that would affect the tooth enamel. I prefer to present the care instructions created for me in a brochure, instead of peeling or advising online so that I can make sure that my tools will take the coming years (especially if it is a big investment).
I was better expected for a premium brand like Le Creuset. When my Dutch oven arrived in Le Creuset, I received a helpful little brochure – maybe this was just a packaging error. If you are new to cook with enamelled cast iron (or even only careful like me), this must be considered.
Is the Le Creuset Alpine Outdoor collection worth?

Let us speak the price. At 220 US dollars, the Griddle Pan is expensive. That doesn't exist. I say it is an investment piece or a very generous gift for a sharp grill. However, Le Creusets Lifetime guarantees the deal (see picture above). This is certainly the last roast you ever have to buy, and you could even hand it over to the grandchildren.
Surprisingly, the grill tools from Le Creuset are much cheaper, especially in view of the quality design at a professional level. The full five-part set (including the canvas carrier) starts at the Le Creuset website at $ 159.95. However, you can get the individual pair of pliers for $ 35.
So if you want a foretaste of the Le Creuset outdoor collection without breaking the bank, the tools could be an intelligent starting point.
My judgment

Would I recommend the Alpine Outdoor collection? Yes, if you are interested in design, durability and want a nice cooking harness outdoors that inspire you to cook delicious al-fresco festivals.
It is not cheap here either. If I could afford to buy more from the collection, I could choose the smaller home square square, as this would be a little more versatile for my lifestyle. I would recommend that you vote carefully.
At the end of the day, this is one of the most beautiful outdoor collections that I saw, and the cooking performance was absolutely excellent. Le Creuset makes grilling really chic, cool and clean. I may not have the full setup yet, but I'm officially in my grill Girl -ära.
