Louvreclad starts podcast over facade performance

The Australian specialist of Louvre and Facade, Louvreclad, has announced the start of its new Podcast series: Inside out. According to the company, the platform of architects, engineers, builders and owners of assets will bring in open discussions about how building outside areas are inspired, constructed and implemented.

Expert knowledge

The monthly series is organized by Louvreclad by Uddhava Sharplin and interviews with industry leaders that shape Australia's most unmistakable projects. Every 30-minute episode combines expert perspectives with real case studies and gives listeners practical insights into cooperation, compliance, sustainability and performance.

The debut episode, Designing for Performance: The future of the facades, offers architect Marina Evangelista, founder of Rinna Design and formerly John Mcaslan + Partners. Evangelista is based on her experience with the management of the facade design coordination for the Waterloo Station of Sydney Metro and divides the lessons from the integration of performance Louvres into one of the most complex infrastructure projects in Sydney and reflects how design references and technical requirements can work together.

“Facades are cultural contributions,” says Evangelista.

“Early cooperation with engineers and contractors turns, which could be compromises on creative possibilities.”

Emphasize success

Jedd Wright, Marketing Manager from Louvreclad, says one of the goals of the podcast is to emphasize the excellent work in the industry, which often remains unnoticed in other disciplines.

“Our industry is full of valuable lessons that rarely make it beyond the office walls,” says Wright. “Inside out gives these stories an outlet that helps experts learn from each other and promote earlier cooperation across disciplines. “

Future episodes will include perspectives from designers, builders and owners of assets on topics that range from AI data centers to facades and the Olympic Games in Brisbane 2032.
