Madison Arts Commission is looking for artists for landscape on the new public market | planning

The selected artist is commissioned to design a mural that highlights the knowledge of swamp and/or prairie plants that are located in our area of ​​Wisconsin. The selected artists will demonstrate their knowledge of the local plants of Wisconsin or their ability to consult experts in this area in order to ensure the botanical and cultural accuracy of the mural.

The selected artist will be notified by April 11, 2025, whereby his final design is due by May 9, 2025. Wall production is currently planned for June 2025.

The Madison Public Market, a 45,000 square meter facility, which is developed in the former city fleet building, will accommodate more than 30 permanent providers and 100 temporary providers on 3.5 hectares. The market is operated by the Madison Public Market Foundation, a non -profit organization.

This mural project is financed by a generous subsidy of the Hoke Family Foundation to the Friends of Madison Arts Commission.
