Plans to improve heating and ventilation systems at a Waterlooville school have taken a step forward after £3 million in funding was approved.
Work at Horndean Technology College includes upgrading the flat roof to improve thermal insulation and recladding two blocks.
As part of the improvements, two old science laboratories will also be renovated.

Double glazed windows are installed alongside insulated panels and vents to allow natural air circulation.
The Technical University's S Block was built in 1971 and is primarily used for teaching science, arts and humanities.
It includes 11 classrooms, a science preparation room and ancillary areas.
Kirsty North, Hampshire County Council's cabinet member for universal services, said on her decision day: “I've seen first hand how these work and how great they can be – not just for the school environment but also for the students and how much they respect the new modern working environment, which is fantastic to see.”
The project is fully funded by the Ministry of Education to improve the lifespan of the buildings without replacing them.
Work is expected to begin in March next year and be completed in December.
