Ruby Foo's Hotel in Montreal now offers guests a year-round eco-friendly ice rink, the first in the province.
The uniquely designed ice rink called “Shooting Star” is made from high-quality synthetic materials that produce zero CO2 emissions.
“At Ruby Foo's, we strive to offer an exclusive experience that combines wellness with environmental responsibility,” said Josée Lelièvre, Vice President of Groupe Luger and General Manager of Ruby Foo's.
“The construction of this ice rink is in line with our vision to contribute to responsible and sustainable tourism.”
According to the hotel, greenhouse gas emissions from the production and transportation of the rink were offset by tree planting under the Carbone Boréal program.
Lelièvre added that the hotel had also implemented an “ambitious” sustainability policy to minimize its environmental footprint.
