
Nashua-AM August 12th four new local artists are presented at the reception for the summer case rotation in the Sandy Cleary Community Art Gallery.
The gallery is open to the public and is located in the Nashua Center for the Arts. The 201 Main St. Doors will open at 4 p.m. with the reception at 6 p.m.
The exhibition runs until the end of November and works of art can be sold by contact with the artist.
Peter Houde is a third generation of the Main Street. He studied art and accounting at Saint Michael's College in Vermont and completed the graduates of the Rhode Island School of Design. Decades later paints, draws and illustrates Houde. “It is our creativity that helps us make us what we are. Hopefully it makes it positive to forge our lives and influence the world around us.” he said. Houde can be reached at houdepeter@aol.com.
Maxwell Irwin was born and grew up in Nashua. He took part in the design and visual communication program in the Nashua High School and then followed the arts on the Colby-Sawyer College, learning drawing, ceramic, photography, typography and print graphics. He completed a BFA in graphic design with a focus on photography. Outside of observation photography, Irwin's portfolio includes concert, event and cosplay photography. He traveled through the country with the hardcore band based in Nashua and put the bar like her touring photographer. “The presentation of high -passion accumulations is one of my greatest motivators”, “ he said. Guy Ridenau is a landscape and cityscape photographer. His background to architecture, advertising and photography has shaped both his creative vision and his professional career as a business owner and architectural sales employee. Over the years, Riaendeau refined his craft through workshops in Chicago, Paris, New York City and other international locations. He studied Ramelli under the celebrated photographer Serge and acquired a Master of Photography in 2024. Riendeau was recently published in the Noir International Photo Magazine and received a certificate of recognition in her edition of summer 2025. “My latest color collection, the time for the bank – coastal scenes and lighthouses, reflects my fascination for the calm strength of nature and the permanent beauty of the maritime landscapes.” he said. Carol Walser Robey is a retired Nashua children's doctor. She started painting with the artists Kevin Dadoly, Stephen Previte and Paulgbretson with the artists of New Hampshire, Stephen Previte and Paulgbretson 15 years ago. She joined the Ingbretson Studio all day, where she studied art history, figure drawing, painting and composition. Robey is a member of the Rockport Art Association and Museum and the North Shore Arts Association in Massachusetts, where she received recognition for her works. This includes a silver medal in 2019 by the Guild of Boston Artists. Robey also shows Antique Coop in Milford in the New Hampshire. She is Nashua Arts Commissioner and curator of the Sandy Cleary Community Art Gallery. “I grew up a lot of time outdoors to study nature. I appreciate handmade objects and tools, the landscape of New Hampshire, Gloucester, mass. Coast and flowers from my big gardens. They are among my favorite subjects to paint” to paint. “ said Robey. Nashua Community Arts and the Nashua Arts Commission work together to offer spectacle live, the operator of the facility, with planning, operation and management of the gallery. The exhibitions include recognized local artists, aspiring artists and student artists with the aim of reflecting demography of Nashua, the most diverse city in New Hampshire.
The mission of the non -profit organization includes the support of the Nashua Center for the Arts to ensure that it is a cultural institution of the community that improves the quality of life, serves as a resource and collective location for the community and combines and makes it accessible and cultural activities with the community. The Nashua Arts Commission includes the support of the Nashua Center for the Arts in the art and cultural plan, which the Board of Alden accepted in 2022.
