Paris trend: Dimensionality | Home accent today

After an inspiring week in Paris in Maison & Objet, there was another bizarre but retro trend that I noticed, dynamic dimension. Think of 3-D ships that range from liquid organic shapes to playful conversation start designs. Decorative elements with lemons, mushrooms, faces, fish and fruit underline the beauty of flora and fauna. This kitchen trend is a relapse into the 80s mood with funny color, creative shapes and dynamic dimension. – Nancy Fire, Nancy Fire Designs

This butter dish from the Italian studio Les Ottoman is a playful but sophisticated approach for the 3-D dimension for the table. While the colors have more traditional aesthetics, the motifs create a dimensional and playful style.

The Les -Osmanen also emphasized the importance of the lemon motif, which was visible throughout Maison & Object. The difference is how dimensional this entire tabletop collection consists with its series of products inspired with lemons.

These wool vases are the perfect little home for fresh flowers. A balanced mixture of wool, sand and glass makes the vase stable and waterproof. The stamp shape adds another type of 3-D dimension.
