While the Park Avenue is known for its large hotels, large properties and New York to and to the Grand Central Terminal, it is now getting a new look, a greener one.

The new plan will include a wider median, pedestrian reinforcement, seating, landscaping and street image equipment. This section of the Avenue Park is located directly on the Grand Central Terminal Train Shed, which is currently undergoing a large capital rehabilitation by the Metro-North Railroad of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).

Between the East 46th Street and the East 57th Street, the Park Avenue is converted into a garden oasis, with rigid Whitehouse Landscape Architects and Planers LLC.
