Parris Goebel has been appointed the latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit problem rookie. It will appear in May 2025 together with other rookies Ming Lee Simons and Denise Bidot.
Goebel was born in New Zealand and is an Emmy Award winner. She was shot by Yu Tsai in Jamaica and was wearing a green swimsuit by Decolet The Label, a swimming and resort wear company based in Los Angeles. The brand also offers jewelry.
“Command every room – stage, sand and beyond,” wrote the publication on Instagram, which share the images from the shoot.
Goebel is known as a choreographer. Over the years, she has worked together with names like Doja Cat, Teyana Taylor and Karol G. She recently choreographed Lady Gaga's music video “Abracadabra”, which was premiered during the Grammy Awards last Sunday. Before that, she had a hand in Beyoncés NFL -half -time show at Christmas and Rihanna's Super Bowl -half -time performance 2023.
Goebel also did brand work and choreographed for a Nike display and published a collaborative sneaker with the company. She also worked with Tresemme, Christian Dior and Rihanna's Savage X Fenty Line and choreographed for the fashion show of this brand. It was the latter project that won her an Emmy Award in 2022.

Under the direction of the MJ Day, Sports Illustrated's swimsuit problem has adopted a more expansive cohort of models. The 2025 edition takes up several in particular athletes and models. In addition to Bidot and Lee Simons, Xandra Pohl and Christians Goff, Roshumba Williams and Nicole English will appear in the edition.
