Sweet Sparkman was founded in 2002 and has shaped architectural landscape for over 20 years into a power plant of creativity and specialist knowledge in Sarasota. Our team of 45 full -time specialists represents 15 nationalities and 10 languages ​​and brings various cultural insights into our design process. Under the leadership of the headmaster Todd Sweet, Jerry Sparkman, John Bryant, Karl Bernhard and Shane Lamay, we work together to create architecture that makes sense to our communities.

What we are looking for

What will you do with us
Depending on your level of experience, you will:

  • Transformation design concepts into convincing architectural solutions

  • Coordinate with customers, consultants and jurisdiction authorities

  • Develop presentation materials that convey our vision

  • Create construction documents that translate design intentions into the built reality

  • Analyze location restrictions and provide a critical analysis of code and zoning questions

  • Monitoring of the production and delivery of comprehensive building documents and specifications

  • Check the drawings for completeness, accuracy and coordination between disciplines

  • Coordinate of the integration of building systems with technical consultants

  • Support customers during the tendering process and react to RFIs

  • Mentor -junior employee and contribute to our collaborative culture

  • Manage project schedule, budgets and customer relationships

  • Research innovative materials and precedents

  • Create physical and digital models that examine design options

What you need

  • Professional completion in architecture or related field

  • Strong design sensitivity and technical knowledge

  • Extensive understanding of building systems, building materials, methods and standards

  • Knowledge of Revit, Bluebeam and MS Office

  • Experience with 3D visualization software (Lumion, Enscape, Sketchup, Rhino) and Adobe Suite

  • Strong documentation and field observation skills

  • Ability to determine suitable detail levels based on the project complexity

  • Well-developed graphics and visualization skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong time management and ability to master several projects at the same time

  • Architectural license (for leading positions) or progress in the direction of licensing

  • Portfolio that demonstrates its design approach and technical skills
