Refik Anadol's audiovisual installation in the Guggenheim Bilbao
Media artist Refik Anadol Presented living architecture: Gehry, a groundbreaking audiovisual installation in the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao until October 19, 2025. As part of the first 'in situ' ExhibitionA series that is dedicated to local installations that re -optimize work Frank Gehry's Architecture language through artificial intelligence and generative art.

The user -defined AI model transforms the forms of Gehry into digital wall carpets
Developed by La based Refik Anadol Studio, the installation, uses the large architectural model (LAM), a tailor-made AI model that was trained for several months on a huge archive with open access pictures, sketches and blueprints from Frank Gehry's works. This AI-controlled system transforms the architect's signature forms into living landscapes of color, light and movement and creates a constantly developing digital wall carpet. Complete the Visuals, composer Kerim Karaoglu, the immersive soundscape audio and material shots, which were recorded in the Guggenheim Bilbao museum.
The work provides the architectural language of Frank Gehry again through artificial intelligence and generative art
Data is architectural imagination in six chapters
Through the treatment of data as a pigment, Refik Anadol Gehry's legacy transforms into a living and developing canvas with its installation and unfolds in six interconnected chapters, each of which is a level in the development of data into the architectural imagination. From the compilation of archive materials (data universe) to the development of complicated spatial compositions (data plots), the process in the ability of the AI to dream with Gehry-inspired forms (machine hallucination and dreams) culminates, conventional spatial restrictions in liquid, speculative architectures.
Living Architecture: Gehry reveals Anadol's creative process in an adjacent gallery in which visitors document audiovisual displays that can document the AI learning trip beyond his immersive experience. Ethically related data and sustainable computer practices form the backbone of the installation and underline a conscientious approach to digital creation of memory and design.
