The Bjarke Ingels Group (Big) has unveiled a striking design for a new opera house in the capital of Kosovo, Pristina.
The Opera and Ballet Theater of Kosovo will contain a curved roof that is inspired by the traditional XHUBLETA rock and makes it one of the most visually striking projects in the company in recent years.
The project is being developed in cooperation with the architecture company Alb-Architect based in Kosovo.
The new cultural landmark of the Kosovo authorities will take over 456,403 m² (42,395 m²) and serve as the main center for performing arts in the country.
