La Jolla, California. – Two fencers of UC San Diego were selected by their respective countries to join the A national team for upcoming international competitions. Huber comes from Mödling, Austria and has represented her home country at numerous international events. She fencing swords and studies ecology, behavior and evolution at Seventh College.

The duo will travel to their respective competitions that take place this weekend over the Atlantic. Fears will compete from Thursday to Saturday at the Sabre World Cup in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. It is one of 176 fencers of her division that compete in the Kolodrum Plovdiv sports hall. Huber will compete in the Aspire Dome in Doha at the Katar's Grand Prix. The event takes place from Friday to Sunday and comprises 192 participants in the women's Degen.

The international fencing association organizes a number of World Cup and Grand Prix competitions every year.
