Verso arrives in Brooklyn with three shows

Verso returns to new York With a local takeover Nine chapelAn apartment in Brooklyn I know – the and developed by tankhouse. The exhibition coincides with the New York Design Week and brings Verso's unmistakable curatorial approach to the dialogue with architecture and lives three private residences and the resident lounge of the fourteen -story tower. The interaction between the verse and nine chapel does not develop as a staging of objects indoors, but as a full immersion in the processed domestic environments, which are characterized by both artistic seeing and by architectural stricts.

The exhibitions are accessible to the public from May 16 to 23, 2025. Visitors are invited to explore nine chapel as a built project and a developing exhibition, in which architecture becomes a connective tissue between design practices from all over the world.

Verso is anchored in SO – ILS Architecture

The decision to increase exhibitions inside Nine chapel marks a shift of scales and context for backWhich has often moved between galleries and informal rooms. In the Nine Chapel, the gallery is aligned with the formal and material sensitivity of the architecture. I know – theThe design gives the building an unmistakable presence in Brooklyn's skyline, its wavy facade made of perforated aluminum catch and diffuse the light in a subtle way. On the back, this structured surface became an echo of pasto, a long -term cooperation with Argentine studio Ries, whose gososososing aluminum plants form the heart of the exhibition on the ground floor.

Pasto from Ries

Verso stops Pasto in the Resident Lounge of the Nine Chapel and connects the tactile language of the skin of the building with the research of time, land and transformation by Ries. The project developed over three years included watering aluminum with local grasses from the Argentine Pampas as lost forms. Each object preserves the impression of a fragile material that is permanently due to fire and metal. The lounge becomes more than for a common convenience – it is reinterpreted as a ship for the memory and keeps sculptural works together with a documentary and a book that follows the conceptual and geographical origins of the project.

Wentz

In the Penthouse B from Nine Chapel, Verso presents the first US show of the Brazilian brand Wentz. The studio is known for its refined material palette and minimal minimalism and gives the residence a contemplative presence. Furniture and lighting from Brazilian forests, cane and recycled textiles deal with the surrounding light and open skyline view. At the core of this installation are we-knit, a proprietary 3D-wide fabric made of ocean-scratched PET bottles. The apartment feels together in calm layers, a spatial translation of Wentz 'ethos of “silent and natural life”.

Verso & friends

On the tenth floor of the building, Verso curated a second edition of Verso & Friends, which developed group exhibition on the market for the first time at 96 King in Red Hook. The duplex is transformed into a liquid studio-like space that is characterized by contributions from a network of artists and designers who talk to the geometries and surfaces of the Nine Chapel. The parts are placed with scaling and conditions so that the architecture can frame each object without overwhelming it. The project reads as a living archive of ongoing creative exchange, which is temporarily embedded in the condominium.
