I agree with Brad Landsbaum's recent letter (WKT Mailbag, October 31) regarding invisible pet fences.

I live in Glendale and have also been terrorized on walks by dogs attacking the fence in the front yard. I also often saw the dog barking inside and the owner letting him out where he ran across the front yard towards my dog and me.

Dogs can be territorial and want to defend their front yard. Many of these owners do not train or supervise their dogs to discourage this aggressive behavior. What I don't understand is the fact that the dogs are always in the front yard, not the back. Maybe any fence allows the dog to travel anywhere the path around the house, which is unfortunate.

I just wish such dog owners would notice their dogs' behavior, develop some empathy towards those passing by, and even do something to change this unfriendly behavior.
