The most anticipated hotel openings in 2025 will take place on (almost) every continent. “Almost” in the technical sense – because a Silversea hotel is opening in the southernmost city in the world, Puerto Williams, Chile, which is in the sub-Antarctic zone of Patagonia – and from there you can take a boat to Antarctica and so on his miracles.
Silversea's new residency is just one of many exciting new openings around the world: in Amsterdam, a Rosewood is opening in the UNESCO World Heritage Canal District, complete with gardens by Piet Odulf. New York will see the triumphant return of its grand dame, the Waldorf Astoria. Meanwhile, a new luxury lodge is opening at the 44,000-acre Suyian Conservancy in Kenya, giving adventurers the chance to spot the endangered Grévy's zebra.
Below are the 26 most anticipated hotel openings of 2025.
North America
The Twenty Two, New York (Winter 2025)
Following their huge success in London, The Twenty Two will travel transatlantic this autumn with a new hotel in Union Square in a historic Grade II listed building. Child Studio's interiors are a contemporary interpretation of quintessentially American design styles from Shaker to Mission to Craftsman. In addition to guest rooms, The Twenty Two will also feature a private club and a restaurant from the team behind the popular New York restaurant Raf's.
Terra, Palm Springs (January 2025)
