According to a project team with Taylor Architecture & Design, a developer has taken an important step in a plan to build a new housing building with 26 units in East Rutherford.

The company recently announced that the district's zoning board granted a unanimous approval of the proposal last month, which provides for a three-story building in the 20-30 Willow Street, which paves the way for a project, the marketfold and affordable apartments in the An area that corresponds approximately to a mile west of Route 17, after some changes to the height and footprint of the building.

Taylor Architecture's Italo Teixeria designed the structure while the company's Stacy Mulrain presented the application. They found that the floor plans of studios would reach up to units with three bedrooms, with four of the houses reserved for tenants with lower income.

Every residential unit is adaptable, while building amenities covered secure parking spaces, a lobby on the first floor, a deck on the roof, a bicycle storage and a fitness center comprises.

“The design of the outside of the building included an iron veneer veneer in the first story with a combination of stone and smooth fiber cement panels on the upper two floors,” wrote Taylor Architecture in a press release. “Open balconies also generate depth on the building facade, while he reaches a solid (and) cavity rhythm that continues around the scope of the building.”

The development team also included land use lawyer Gary J. Cucchiara, the civil engineer Richard Adelsohn by Frank Lehr & Associates, the traffic engineer Justine Fox from Stonefield Engineering and Professional Planner William P. Vunel from Voice Engineering.
