Under art is a Martin Berger plant above the dining table made of deformed propylene. “His wavy shape gives him a movement,” notes Charlotte. “It almost looks like a piece of pleated Issey Miyake clothing.” On the deck, the main terrace on the terrace has lavish vegetation and sophisticated outdoor furniture made of materials such as Strohmarquetry, which help to alleviate the industrial aesthetics of the load barge.
Life on the Seine certainly sounds idyllic. During the summer, the family spends as much time as possible outdoors, often water skiing on weekends, organizes barbecues or took boat trips along the river. In winter a fireplace and a hammam make it perfect for coconut.
“It is a unique lifestyle for Paris,” enthuses Cédric. “We are only a few hundred meters away from the city limits and feel like we are in the country.”
“When I come home, I feel completely separated from the city,” added Charlotte. “It's like we're on vacation, but in our own home.”
