Bowling Green, Ohio (WTVG) – Two people were injured on Wednesday during a forced landing of an aircraft when an aviation student of bowling Green State University was working on creating their commercial pilot license.
A spokesman for the university said that the two people who had suffered minor injuries were a student who approaches the end with a FAA examiner. As a precaution, the student was taken to a hospital in a hospital, but both should do it well.
The forced landing occurred on September 3 at 12:30 p.m. at the regional airport Wood County. The BGSU spokesman said that the student was evaluated on a commercial pilot license at that time. This process requires landing an aircraft during a simulation of an engine failure.
During that time, the FAA examiner took over the plane and landed in a field next to the airport.
“Bowling Green State University is grateful for the fast actions and reaction and will continue to work with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and FAA,” said the BGSU spokesman in a statement.
