Leadership security on a commercial or flat roof seems to be less obvious than working on steep slope projects, but security experts warn that it is so critical to observe their steps on roofs with low slopes.
RC Went to the field with Tammy Clark, certified security advisor and owner of Tammy K. Clark Companies, to counter joint security risks and solutions to work on commercial projects.
“Many times, when we are on these large commercial roofs, these low roofs or these flat roofs, especially these large couplings and arenas, and the like, they will have several heights from which the crews will work, and access to the output is something that OSHA is looking at,” said Clark.
Violations of the security of leaders are the third most common Osha violation of the 2024 financial year, which leads to 2,573 quotations. The autumn protection led the list with 6,307 quotations. In order to avoid being one of these quotes and preventing falls, excursions and trips, Clark offers tips for using safe ladder, e.g. B. abrasive materials under the feet of a ladder or securing the top of a ladder.
