Rooted in nature: a hotel in harmony with the environment
The prestigious and mighty hotel and tourism complex from Merom Golan is underway. Merom Golan is located in the northern part of Israel in the Golan heights. Approximately Merom Golan is 1,000 meters above sea level above sea level for its beautiful landscapes, the cool mountain climate and increasingly -for its projects for eco -tourism and boutique -Hospitality projects.
Kibbuz Merom Golan has initiated the construction of a high-end tourism complex, which is located next to the existing Merom Golan Kibbuz and is over a massive area of 14.3 ACRES/ 62.2908 m². The architecture company Rozen-Linenberg has won the competition for the design of the prestigious project, which is currently in the building permit process.
Shafi Mor, who heads Kibbutz Merom Golans tourism projects and leads this initiative, explains: “The country that is located in an oak forest next to the Kibbutz had the potential to develop the tourism sector.”
Mor adds: “We organized a competition with the participation of 3 architectural companies. Rozen-Linenberg architects gained due to their concept, aesthetics and inspiration, which they came from historical sites in the Golan heights.”
This is a luxury project that was built according to standards that have never been seen in Israel – and certainly not in the Golan heights. “We believe in tourism in the north, and we are confident that this project will attract and serve many tourists in the coming decades. After all, there is nothing better than the magic of the Golan.”
The architect Ron Rozen from Rozen-Linenberg Architects and responsible for the project, explains: “The complex is located in a 28-time area and includes a luxurious hotel with full high-end services-impersonal, restaurants, restaurants, restaurants, spa, fitness studio and 90 suites that are spread over three flakes, and a separate area with a separate area and a separate area with 10 removal.
Rozen explains the architectural aspect of the Mega-Project:
“The design of the hotel was inspired by Rujum al -hiri, a prehistoric ceremonial place near the hotel, whose secrets remain unsolved to this day. It is an archaeological site that is valued for tens of thousands of years. To the spirit of the place.”
Rozen adds: “We estimate that the approval will be granted in early 2025 and that the construction begins immediately afterwards. I think the complex is completed and brought to life about two years later.”
The entire hotel was developed with a robust and authentic architectural language architects, which is characteristic of the Golan heights. The three main materials are: exposed basalt, untreated wood (such as the eucalyptus trees in the region) and steel.
With regard to the design, Rozen says: “The planning of this specific hotel differs completely from typical resorts in places such as Eilat or Tel Aviv. Conference halls – are directed internally.”
The hotel is designed in two concentric rings. The outer ring consists of the guest rooms, all of whom are in the forest. In contrast to most hotels in which the rooms are located on both sides of a hall, all rooms are located on one side and open in the wild landscape.
The inner ring houses the common hotel functions. It is a feather that flows in a spiral and imitates the golan's streams. Spring forms a number of warm pools with waterfalls and enables guests to switch from one to another. The idea is that the landscape architecture imitates the rivers and feathers of the region.
All inner ring functions – the lobby, the café and the restaurant in a hub, the spa in another and the conference center in one third – look at this central spring. These areas “speak the same design language”. Obst gardens are planned between each function and lead the guests to the outer ring and create an authentic, village labyrinth that seamlessly connects nature.
